Squadrons & Detached Flights
Each wing contains a number of Squadrons
or in towns not large enough to sustain a squadron of 30 cadets, a Detached Flight (DF)
may be formed. This operates much like any other unit, but is technically a component
part of a nearby larger squadron. Staffordshire wing has 31 Squadrons.
The Corps currently has 926 squadrons and approximately 48 Detached Flights.
